Misty, frosty, overcast afternoon, sunset. Sun partially concealed behind low cloud on the horizon, casting quite surreal light.

You see that freaky 'soft-focus' area at the far end of the hedge? That's not Photoshop trickery - that's real, caused by the very fine fog hanging in the air. Notice how the branches against the sky are sharp (the focus point was the dark patch beneath the nearest tree) but then it goes all hazy closer to the ground. Weird or what? And a major reason why I took the picture.
